2012 in Review

2012 has been one heck of a year.  There were ups, downs, laughter, tears.  As it comes to an end, here's a quick list of some of the highlights I talked about here.

January, 
A Celebration of You My oldest turned 15 and I wrote him the mandatory birthday post, but this was one of my favorite's yet.

LoveFest: I shared some of the things I love the most and started with MYSELF

Football Cupcakes: Made adorable and delicious cupcakes for a superbowl party

March

Went to Blissdom for a second year & hung out with these awesome girls.

Discussed being done having babies

Took the oldest with me for the midnight premier of the Hunger Games.

April

We now have TWO teenage boys in the house because Nathan turned 13

Riding on Two Wheels, Jolie lost the training wheels.
"Riding a bike is the HARDEST thing ever, but I really think it's going to be worth it." Jolie, age 6
In SHARING IS CARING, we made it official when Joe legally adopted the boys.

May
I caved and admitted that I'm actually a TAYLOR SWIFT FAN. 

Shared a recipe for CHEESEBURGER PIZZA

Gave fair warning that the kid now had his Learner's Permit and would be DRIVING  A CAR

Watched Cheeks dance as the most adorable Majorette ever in ANOTHER DANCE SHOW.

Relived my teenage years via Netflix when I discovered Dawson's Creek on their streaming list.

July
Family Camping Trip: Spent over a week camping in tents and just generally too much outside. While I didn't get the medal I truly deserved, I did leave with great memories.


August

I couldn't deny my middle kid even if I tried. My mini-me




Origins of their names: Talked about why I named my kids what I did.


September
Flew to  Phoenix for a wedding

October
He stole my heart, so I stole his last name:: celebrated our 8th anniversary of being married to my best friend


"Though she be but little, she is fierce" ::  the baby of the family grew another year older

Planned a camping themed birthday party

Talked about the ups and downs of parenting a teenager, but how I know I'm doing okay. .

November

December

We lost Grace, the beloved family pet.  It was one of the hardest things I've ever had to deal with mostly becuase I never thought it would be that hard.

Christmas Magic:: watching my children's faces enjoy this time of year is one of the best parts of being a Mom.
