Motherhood Monday:: My Mini-Me

One of the funny things about motherhood is looking into the faces of our children and seeing ourselves.
Sometimes, it can be the eyes, their mouths or just the way
they hold their head when they talk.

And sometimes, it's as if you were cloned.

My middle kid fits that last description.  From his eyes, nose, mouth, teeth.. even the way he sleeps.

He's heard how much he looks like me from our family his
entire life.   There once was a picture at my aunt's of a 18 month old me sitting on the counter.  Being blonde, I didn't have much hair, but I was wearing a dress. My oldest son, a toddler at the time, asked why we put his brother in a dress.  Yes.  Even 3 year olds thought we looked alike.

Last week, Cheeks' teacher commented on the uncanniness of our resemblance at registration.

I've always heard that it's good luck to have a son look his mom and the daughter look like the dad.
I'm not sure how true that wive's tale is, but it is nice to have at least 1/3 of my offspring look like me.  The other two? Not so much
So what do you think?  Think my youngest boy looks like his momma?

My sister looks JUST like my mom and I'd say Casey is a pretty lucky girl...
