Doctor's Visits
Kid 1: While lifting weights with football, A noticed a sharp pain in his left shoulder. The pain continued through the next day so I scheduled a consult with a local Orthopedist clinic. Turns out, he's having issues with his rotator cuff slipping. If he wasn't double jointed, he probably would have dislocated it already. As it is, he needs some light physical therapy and to wear a brace during weights until he builds up the muscle around his shoulder.
Kid 2:: Due to the pool and lake time, N came down iwth a nasty case of swimmer's ear. He moaned and groaned. After a quick cll to oru ped, some ear drops were called into our pharmacy.
Hanging out with Friends
{we went downtown to a Peabody Rooftop Party to see an 80's big hair Cover Band, aptly named Aquanet, in celebration of a birthday}
| myself with the birthday girl |
Memories::
While at his girlfriend's house, A sampled Seltzer water. Which reminded me of NY Seltzers and Clearly Canadians. Remember those? He asked me to describe what it tasted like? The only appropriate response I could come up with was
A glass bottle full of Awesome.

It's perfectly normal to begin planning and pinning for a birthday that's 4 months away, right?
Are y'all having fun this summer???

Looks like y'all have been having a great summer! We have stayed busy, too.. Roller skating last weekend was a bit too much fun & ended with a buckle fracture and a cast, boo.
And OMG, Clearly Canadian!? I miss that stuff so much! The Strawberry was my fave.
New York Seltzer actually reminds me of summers at my grandparents' house. They owned a bar so they would get it by the case from the distributor. It was like crack. In related news: Your summer pictures are making me tired. I've spent the bulk of the month sitting on my ass. I suggest you do the same. Very relaxing.
What a fun summer!! Hope everyone is feeling better. I remember Clearly Canadians, but my sister liked them more than I did!
We've been spending as much time as possible at the river and in the pool.. And I don't think the girl has burned out all summer, this time of year is my fav!
JN gets the WORST swimmers ear.. ALL.THE.TIME.
We've had him at the doctor multiple times a month for the past 6 months. {I'm hoping they put tubes in soon!!} He currently is banned from the pool until tomorrow.. Poor fella!
