Another notch on the recital belt

Anyone who has met my daughter knows she's a performer.  She lives to be the center of attention.  It doesn't matter if we're at home, the store, the pool.. if people are listening or not.  She will dance and sing simply to entertain herself.
That type of extroversion must have come from her Father.. ahem.

I honestly think she simply tolerates weekly dance practice just so she can have her time on the stage for the show.   The girl loves her some showtime.

This year, our girls dressed as little Majorettes and performed to "76 Trombones" from The Music Man.

Holy Ballet Shoes!  I could hardly stand the cuteness.  I have loved EVERY costume, but I'm thinking this is one of my favorites.

Every dancer deserves a treat for a job well done.  I started a tradition of giving build a bears with coordinating costumes, but could NOT find anything suitable this year.  This tap costume for her American Girl doll was the closest thing I saw.
And of course, she got flowers as well.

These girls have been friends since pre-school. I blurred their faces b/c you know.. not everyone wants their kid all over the internet.

During the finale, each dancer gets her turn to take a bow.

Proud Parents

I LOVE show time almost as much as Cheeks does.  Yes, it's alot of work but so much fun.  Plus, the prep and getting ready is something that she and I do together, just us.  And besides, who doesn't like playing in hair and make up stuff?

Congrats my little  ballerina!  We're so proud of you and how
much you shine not only on stage, but in our lives .
