Cheeseburger Pizza:: Recipe & {emeals} Review

This week's Emeal's list included a recipe for Cheeseburger Pizza.  I admit, I was skeptical at first.  Pizza is one of those food groups that is almost holy.  It should be served as deep dish, heavy sauce, lots of cheese and smothered in veggies.

But I put my food prejudices aside and decided to try it.   EVERYBODY in the house loved it.  While devouring his fourth piece, the oldest teenager asked where I found such a great recipe.  I call that a dinner success.

Cheeseburger Pizza Recipe
Ingredients::
Refrigerated Pizza Crust
Ketchup
Mustard
small onion, diced
1 lb ground beef
Worcestershire sauce
clove of garlic, minced
1 cup Shredded Cheese

Directions::
Preheat oven.  Prepare crust and bake according to directions.  Brown ground beef with garlic and onion.  Drain if necessary and add Worcestershire Sauce.  Mix ketchup and mustard, spread over cooked pizza crust. Sprinkle most of cheese mixture; top with ground beef and then top with remaining cheese.  Return to over for approximately 5 minutes or until cheese is melted.   Remove from oven to cool.  Cut and serve.

**For serving, I added toppings such as lettuce, tomatoes and pickles because I like them on my cheeseburgers.

after just coming out of the oven

after adding a few pickles.

the addition of a fresh tomato made it super yummy

And because we had this over the weekend and it had been a CRAZY week, I enjoyed a Hurricane made from a mix straight from New Orleans.
