When I got the email saying that our surprise guest for the
5th Birthday for Blissdom was going to be
Rascal Flatts, I possibly squealed a little. ok ok . I squealed a lot.
I have been a HUGE fan for years. Whenever I hear,
"Skin" I turn into a crying mess.
"Melt" reminds me of when I was engaged to my now husband. We were trying to find a song for our wedding and it was one of my pics. Not to mention,
"Moving On".. anyone who has left someone or something can feel the meaning behind the words.
But my favorite?
"God Bless the Broken Road" My life was bumpy and I didn't always make the right choices, but that path has led me to be the person I am and the life I have. The first time I heard it, I was sitting in my car listening to my new cd (remember those?). I read the lyrics with tears streaming down my face because this band had put all of my thoughts and feelings into this one song.
On Saturday night, I got dressed up and hung out with some of my favorite girls. We planted ourselves near the front and waited.
We shared a few inside jokes
Joe Jonas opened. And although I have never heard any of his songs before, I wiggled and danced with the best of them.

| I originally tweeted this as our location & was told to get closer. |
 |
| This was my new location & in case you can't tell.. the large black box in the front is the speaker. |
 |
| Just one of the Jonas brothers singing to us. |
 |
| Here is Molly with sweet Callan.. "You have a baby. In a bar." |
 |
| Gary Levox, lead singer & rocks a fab pair of white snakeskin cowboy boots |
 |
| Joe Don Rooney-- even finer in person than he is in pictures |
 |
| Jay Demarcus |
 |
| please ignore the double chins I'm rocking. But this was to prove to my kids how close I really was. |
Sorry for the crappy picture quality, but all I had was my phone.
And yes, I did suffer a bit of hearing loss from being that close to the stage, but I don't care. It was worth every minute. I also couldn't talk the next day because I spent the 2 hours screaming and singing. Again.. worth every single minute.

So Rascal Flatts? Yes. But Joe Jonas? I still don't get that.
I still have no voice from talking over everyone!
I've never been a huge Rascal Flatts fan, but after hearing them at Blissdom, I am SOLD! They were so incredible!
I've seen Rascal Flatts in concert... But definitely not that close! :)
I have a couple of Joe Jonas' songs on my iPod. No shame!
