Wordful Wednesday: My little daredevil

We all know I can't keep my mouth shut, so I'm not even gonna try with a Wordless Wednesday post.   I"ll stick with what I do best and talk.

My youngest has grown up on the water.   Our best friend has a pool that we have free access too.  We've owned a boat her entire life & have spent countless days at the lake.    To say she's a little fish is an understatement.  The child was begging to ride the tube at only 3 years old.  She wasn't content with a slow cruising speed either.  She wasn't content unless she was being pulled (with an adult riding with her) at speeds closer to 20 mph.  Rest assured, we were always careful & never went in any direction but straight.

Last week, she climbed on the boat with other kids who were ready for skiing lessons.   Keep in mind, she's watched her daddy ride his wake board & thinks it's something easy to do.   When the hubs stops the boat & asked for volunteers, my baby stepped up to bat.  The 4 year old who can't swim without floaties wanted to learn how to ski.   ( It would also be appropriate that her 13 year old brother was no on the boat and still doesn't know how.  )

She didn't make it up this day, but it didn't stop her from giving advice to everyone that followed her.  You would think to listen to her she was a pro!

*As further proof of her bravery, we were at our friend's house swimming & she jumped off the diving board.  She held her daddy's hand the whole time & he was in the water waiting for her, but she wasn't wearing floaties. Of course, I left my camera at home.

I think my youngest will be like that. We really havent been around a pool much and my oldest is pretty afraid of the water, wont let go of the side of the pool. My two year old however jumps off the steps and doesnt want you to hold on to her.

She reminds me of me! I learned to water ski at about her age. I had little tiny learning skis that were tied together. Then once I was able to balance on them, you cut the tie and learned to ski that way. I thought they were so cool because they were "my" skis. We sold them in a garage sale a few years ago, and I was shocked to discover how small they were! Those giant skis of my youth turned out to only be about 3' long!
